McMillan Remodels Wins Chrysalis Award

Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 104 remodeling companies from across the United States were honored at the eight annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence on June 1, 2001. The awards, sponsored by Professional Remodeler magazine, were presented at the Southern Building Show in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Judged by the staff of Southern Living magazine, Sunset magazine, and Homestyles.com, the winners were selected from over 600 entries covering all types of remodeling projects. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.

This year, McMillan Remodels of Edmond, Oklahoma won the top award as Category Winner for Kitchen Facelift. This is the first year they have entered the Chrysalis Awards.

"The purpose of the awards is to identify remodeling companies who are the best at what they do," says Ken Kanline, Director of the awards. "In this case, not only did Michael McMillan win a Chrysalis Award in a very popular category on his first attempt, but he is the first remodeler from Oklahoma to win a Chrysalis Award."

The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation's best remodeling work in over thirty categories.
